Last updated: · Social release draft
Offline gameplay remains available. Local records stay on your device; optional Game Center and online rankings use the data described below. This draft covers the planned social release and must be matched to the deployed version before publication.
1. Scope
This policy describes information handling in the current version of Bounce Ball and distinguishes the app from visits to this website.
2. App collection and transmission
Bounce Ball does not require an account. The current version includes no advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. When online rankings are configured, eligible completed-game scores are submitted using an automatically created guest identity even if you do not sign in to Game Center. A random guest credential is stored in device-only Keychain and sent securely to resume that identity; the service stores only a keyed digest of it and generates a public guest nickname and player key. If you sign in to Game Center, the app instead sends Apple identity verification material, your public nickname, and eligible completed-game scores. Guest and Game Center records remain separate; signing in does not transfer guest scores. It does not upload device tilt or language/audio preferences.
3. Information stored on your device
The app uses local system storage for best scores, challenge records, language selection, and music and sound preferences. These local settings support gameplay. Eligible scores may also be submitted to the optional online ranking service. Pending scores are saved separately for each guest or signed-in identity for retry; achievement reports use your Game Center account. Guest credentials do not sync across devices. iOS device backups may include app data; their handling depends on the Apple backup services and settings you choose.
Online rankings and Game Center
The service verifies Game Center identity and stores a keyed digest of the necessary Apple team identifier, a random public player key, a public nickname, scores, run identifiers, rules versions, completion times and server acceptance times. Public rankings show nickname, rank, score and achievement time, without your raw Apple identifier. Identity signatures are verified and discarded; only short-lived replay digests are retained. Access tokens expire after 15 minutes.
Friend access is requested only when you use friend features. Authorized Game Center friend identifiers are sent transiently to filter public scores and are not stored as a friend relationship. Temporary public ranking snapshots expire after five minutes and are cleaned up by service maintenance. Apple manages achievements and friend relationships under its own policies. There is no in-app chat or custom friend network.
Ranking records remain until you delete them or the operator retires a season. Use Social → Achievements or Friends → Delete online ranking data to remove the current guest or Game Center server profile and scores from current rankings. This also clears pending submissions and local period sharing records for that identity. This leaves your local best scores and Apple-managed achievements unchanged. Future ranked play creates a new server profile. Backup retention, hosting provider details and a working privacy contact must be confirmed before launch.
4. Device motion
Some interface elements read device tilt through Core Motion for visual feedback. This data is used on-device for the current effect and is not persisted or uploaded by the app. It is not used for advertising, identification, or profiling. Gameplay does not request access to contacts, photos, microphone, or location.
5. Information you provide to support
If you email the developer, the email address, issue description, and attachments you choose to provide are used to respond and investigate. Do not send passwords, payment details, or unrelated sensitive information. Support correspondence is retained while handling your request and necessary follow-up; you can request deletion through the support email.
6. Sharing
The developer does not sell local app gameplay data or use it for advertising. Support emails you send are transmitted and stored by the email providers involved. Apple handles App Store, device backup, and system diagnostic services under its own policies.
7. This website
This website includes no developer-added advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, request times, and browser information to deliver pages and maintain security. This is separate from how the app handles gameplay data.
8. Managing and deleting information
You can adjust language and audio preferences in game settings. Using Delete App, rather than Offload App, removes the app and its local data from your device. Existing system backups are managed through iOS and Apple backup settings. Deleting local data does not delete support emails you previously sent; contact the developer to request their deletion.
9. Children’s privacy
Offline play does not require an account and there is no chat. Configured online rankings also support an automatically generated guest identity. Game Center achievements and friend features remain subject to Apple account restrictions and friend visibility controls. Avoid sending children’s personal information when contacting support. Contact the developer if support correspondence contains children’s information that should be deleted.
10. Policy updates
This policy will be updated when app functionality or information handling changes. Refer to the update date shown on this page.
Privacy contact
Support contact details are pending. This preview is a draft and needs a valid contact method before App Store submission.
